UNCLE BEN'S CLEVELAND HISTORY

Uncle Ben’s Pawnshop was started by “Uncle” Ben in August of 1946, shortly after his return from heroic service in the army during WWII. Our shop remained on the same city block for nearly 60 years until the autumn of 2003 when we moved to a much larger, modern building conveniently located in downtown Cleveland.



Uncle Ben’s Pawn Shop 3,000 square foot showroom is jammed packed with great deals on thousands of quality items, not to mention the weird and unusual. We are Cleveland’s oldest, largest, full line, full service professional pawnbrokers. We are proud members of the National and Ohio Pawnbrokers Associations.


Uncle Ben’s Pawn Shop has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and has been a BBB Accredited Business since December 2000.

OHIO PAWNBROKERS ASSOCIATION


The Ohio Pawnbrokers Association (OPA) encourages its members to give back to the community, and offers guidance to pawnbrokers on how to get involved locally. The OPA works to provide pawnbrokers statewide with resources and tools to strengthen the pawn industry. OPA members are committed to operating their business in such a manner as to enhance and promote the positive and professional image of all pawnbrokers. Ohio Pawnbroker Association member shops are dedicated to the highest standards of honesty, integrity and customer service.

CLEVELAND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

This illustrates our continuing commitment to quality customer service, integrity and the highest possible standards. We have been a BBB Accredited Business since December 2000.

FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSEE

Uncle Ben’s Pawn Shop is a Federal Firearms Licensee. We have held a Type 2 Federal Firearms License (FFL) since 1968. The requirements of a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) are overseen by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). One of the primary missions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is to provide direction and advice to the firearms industry regarding the Federal firearms regulations.
